A Step too Far for Feminism??

I rage about this topic quite a lot. I'm all for burning my bra and having equal rights as a woman but lately Feminism has just become a political volcano that could blow at any given moment if someone says something wrong.

My Heart Will Go On...

It's that special time of year again, where the shops bust out an inordinate amount of chocolate and extortionate cards with soppy poems in them. Good old Valentine's Day is on Friday and it's a day where we are meant to cherish our loved ones, spoil them with gifts and do something romantically out of the ordinary.

Good old Britney knows her shiz. If you want something the you gotta work for it!



Personally, I'm not such a fan of the singer but her words do hold a grain of truth. So many people today want to take the easy route, without putting in their 10 000 hours, but that's simply not how the world works.

Disaster Strikes

So I had every intention of posting fabulous blogs up here almost every day and I have to say it started out well...

Until my laptop died on me! Followed shortly by my mobile phone... so bear with folks we'll be up and running again soon!

Back to Purgatory

I flew back to France yesterday and surprisingly it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be! I am moving house this week on top of an exam and a 10 page essay to finish, so it's going to be a busy week!

I have however, returned from England with a new attitude towards my life here in France for the next 6 months. I met a lovely girl from my British university on my flight and by chance we were sitting next to each other on the plane! She reassured me about my year abroad and helped answer a few questions about my future when I go back home for my final year........

2013 in Review

I don't know if you've heard but setting up a blog and hosting it yourself can be a little costly and for me, a student, I just can't afford it right now! So while I save up and gather more followers (yes I am talking about you awesome lot!) I will be posting every single day, lest I be on my death-bed and physically unable to type!

The Get Sassy Challenge: Part 1

It's that time of year again where the resolutions to get fit and look hot in a bikini crawl out of the wood work... Ladies, let me stop you right there (Gents, I'm sure you already look hot in that bikini!)...
Getting fit in the New Year is a fabulous idea! I support you 100% but having spent all of my teenage years vowing to get fit and look good in a bikini, I have realised where I have been going wrong!!

Reflections of 2013

T'was the night before New Years and all through the house people were drinking... even the mouse!
I am also reflecting over 2013 as a year in general. The last year has been difficult with a relapse of depression which I will talk about in more detail in another post, a complicated flat mate, a break up and even the end of a 10 year friendship.
So given the highs and lows of the year, here is a round up of the best and worst parts of 2013 and all the lessons they taught me! :)

La Vie Française: it sucks!

I am currently sat in a class where the tutor expects ridiculously fast writing from you to the point where my hand cramps up in every class. I tried to take a picture of an image on the presentation and was told not to take it and yet there was no information on where I could find the image. No, in fact I'm meant to be a mind reader and must automatically know these things!! Obviously, how foolish of me!
